Abuja, Nigeria Father of four42 years old · October 2026
I was born and raised in Abuja. My interest in football began at local pitches and viewing centres, where the matchday debate was always the same: why did the game unfold that way?
For more than 15 years, I have studied professional football, tactical changes and betting markets across thousands of European and international fixtures. The Nigerian Blogger brings those interests together: football reasoning, probability and a record readers can examine.
The eye test.
The model.
The record.
“When I started, I thought knowing football was enough. I could explain every formation and identify the better team, but I kept losing money. It took me two years to understand that picking winners and finding value are completely different skills.”

Experience that shaped my approach
What I look for. What I learned.
Football beyond the scoreline.
I study how teams defend, create space and respond to different opponents. A run of wins matters less when the performances behind it are weakening. Tactical context helps me ask better questions of the numbers.
“Winning form can hide structural problems.”
From my own experience
Reliable information comes first.
Working with football data taught me to question missing reports, inconsistent definitions and unconfirmed team news. If the evidence is unreliable, I would rather leave a match alone than dress uncertainty up as certainty.
“One of my worst modelling errors came from mixing xG data from two providers without accounting for their different methodologies.”
From my own experience
Experience building and testing systems.
My background includes Python, SQL and statistical computing. Building and refining analytical tools taught me how easily a convincing historical result can disappear when it faces new matches. Technical complexity is never a substitute for honest testing. The implementation details of my research remain private.
“I thought knowing football was enough. I could explain every formation and identify the better team, but I kept losing money.”
From my own experience
The discipline to pass.
A famous team or a big European night does not require a bet. Uncertain lineups, poor information and an unappealing price are good reasons to step back. My interest is in sound decisions rather than the pressure to manufacture a daily winner.
“A brilliant football match doesn’t necessarily offer a worthwhile betting opportunity.”
From my own experience
A losing run is not a reason to chase.
Football has red cards, deflections, disputed decisions and late goals. Experience has taught me to respect that uncertainty. I do not promise income, guaranteed returns, fixed matches or a way to eliminate risk.
“My instinct was to increase stakes because I believed the model was due a recovery. Instead, I reviewed its calibration, checked for data issues, and kept my limits unchanged.”
From my own experience
Editorial commitment
Show the reasoning.
Keep the losses.
My goal is a timestamped public record that retains the original selection, its publication time and any verified quoted price, then adds the final score and a clear settlement. Forecast quality, execution, realised returns and luck should be evaluated separately.
The TNB ledger begins with our first published edition. It has no independently audited performance record. My career experiences above are not performance claims for this website, and pending selections are not counted as wins.
I reject match-fixing rumours, guaranteed income promises and “100% sure odds.” All gambling-related content is for adults aged 18 and over. Every selection can lose.
